Alexander Borgoyakov holds a seminar at MGIMO on legal regulation of international hydrocarbon trade

On 10 November 2025, Alexander Borgoyakov, partner in Asari Legal’s Finance practice, conducted a seminar as an invited expert for first-year Master’s students of the International Law Faculty at the Moscow State Institute of International Relations (MGIMO).

As part of the International Trade Law course, Alexander shared practical insights on structuring energy export transactions. He spoke about the lawyer’s role, the nuances of negotiations, and the specifics of drafting hydrocarbon sale and purchase agreements. In particular, he demonstrated how various Incoterms directly affect the agreement’s operative and pricing provisions.

During the seminar, students actively engaged with the guest speaker, asked numerous questions, and expressed their appreciation for the valuable knowledge he was able to impart.
