Supported by Asari Legal, the MGIMO team won the FDI Moot international investment arbitration competition

From 29 October to 2 November, the global rounds of the prestigious Foreign Direct Investment Arbitration Moot (FDI Moot) competition for students took place at the campus of the Suffolk University Law School in Boston, Massachusetts, USA. This year, 153 teams from universities around the world took part in the competition.
The team from the Faculty of International Law at MGIMO (Roman Balakin, Aryuna Batozhargalova, Arina Buryak, Elizaveta Zakharova and Konstantin Frogerz) defeated rival university teams from India, China, Argentina, Italy and Poland. Elizaveta Zakharova was named best speaker in the final competition. This is the best result any Russian team has ever achieved in the history of the FDI Moot.
The fact that the MGIMO team reached the global rounds was in part made possible thanks to the support of the Asari Legal law firm.
The team was coached by Asari Legal associates Alexandra Alimova, Tatiana Petrova and Irina Kizko, as well as junior associate Sofia Mirkhaidarova.
