  • a private client in several high-profile criminal investigations in the EU, in which investigative measures—unprecedented in both scale and media exposure—were found unlawful
  • a private client in a mutual agreement procedure under a double tax treaty between Russia and an EU Member State in connection with tax claims amounting to hundreds of millions of euros
Russian litigation

Advising:

  • a private client in court proceedings concerning the imposition of secondary liability for the debts of a major insurance company

  • a private client in a dispute challenging an over RUB 100 million transaction in bankruptcy proceedings
  • a confidential client in analysing relevant case law and mitigating the risks of asset seizure in connection with a claim brought against them by the Russian Prosecutor General’s Office

  • a US corporation on various matters of Russian law related to the operations of its Russian subsidiary, including the preparation of local internal regulations, aligning their application with the company’s global policies, as well as the development and implementation of anti-corruption and trade secrets policies, data protection and compliance procedures, etc.
  • a major international medical equipment manufacturer on a broad range of legal issues related to its Russian operations, including the drafting of various internal regulations such as internal labour rules, job descriptions, anti-corruption, confidentiality and remuneration/bonus policies, personal data processing policies for employees, rules on the use of corporate vehicles, etc.
  • a German company on various corporate law issues arising in the operations of its Russian subsidiary
  • a prominent private IT investor in port and industrial infrastructure on the review and analysis of existing constitutional and internal corporate documents (regulations, job descriptions, and other internal policies)
  • a US multinational corporation on the annual review of legislation governing relationships with temporary staff, interns, and outsourced personnel, including an analysis of applicable rules, sectoral trends, and employer risks, with prioritisation of such risks for the company’s Russian operations
