Dmitry co-heads Asari Legal’s Dispute Resolution practice. He specialises in international arbitration and complex international and domestic litigation. With over 20 years of experience, he has acted as counsel in proceedings under the rules of major regional and sectoral arbitral institutions across Europe, Asia and the Americas, as well as under the UNCITRAL Rules, and has served as arbitrator in both Russian and foreign arbitral institutions.

- a Russian airline in a USD 100 million HKIAC arbitration regarding a supply agreement
- a Russian manufacturer in an ICC arbitration regarding an equipment supply contract for Cuba

- a Russian investor in a USD 500 million UNCITRAL arbitration concerning expropriation of metallurgical assets in an Eastern European state

- an English counsel in a USD 150 million dispute in the UK regarding a currency swap agreement
- a US counsel in USD 250 million federal court proceedings concerning confiscation of real estate
- a Chinese counsel in seeking interim measures in Mainland China in support of an HKIAC arbitration and in connection with the enforcement of a Russian arbitral award
Russian litigation
Representing:
- a major chemical producer in connection with incidents at a hazardous production facility
- a foreign shareholder of a debtor in bankruptcy proceedings arising out of one of the largest corporate conflicts in modern Russia
- a major engineering and construction companyincluding in the Supreme Court of the Russian Federation, in a dispute over environmental damage caused by the disposal of a vessel in the Caspian Sea
- a Dutch bankin the bankruptcy of a borrower and in parallel litigation in courts of general jurisdiction challenging the validity of loan agreements, including in the Supreme Court of the Russian Federation
